some are ok, but none are as good as this one. I have tried about 8 different shareware/freeware programs to sort out this music. I can't see any options in SS to change anything that might help.
Right-click one backup > Choose Show in Finder. Under the Devices tab, you can view different backup files and backup times. I dont want to re install song sergeant as i am not sure if i will lose my registration. In addition, there is another way to locate a specific backup, you can check the history backup in iTunes: Step 1. Song Sergeant just makes a wierd bleep noise (like a sparrow being squeezed or somthing - or R2D2's battery failing. With a click of a button you can add this additional music to your iTunes library. If by chance it cant find your library itself, go into SSs Preferences and manually 'Change iTunes Library location.' to the iTunes Music Library.xml file inside your iTunes librarys folder. Tracks Not In iTunes - Tune Sweeper scans your hard drive for music not currently listed in your iTunes library. If iTunes appears to be working just fine now and doesnt appear busy doing anything, then go ahead and launch Song Sergeant. I thought it was an issue with the library file so I trashed the old one and added all the music folders to the new library. Tune Sweeper scans your iTunes library for tracks with missing artwork and automatically downloads matching artwork to your iTunes library. Song sergeant worked brilliantly last night, but then while it was working some part of the system went to sleep - Song Sergeant said itunes was unresponsive or somthing.
5 Note: Tune Sweeper contains some powerful tools and options to change the way Tune Sweeper searches and displays a duplicate. There are two tracks called 'Poker Face' by 'Lady Gaga' and two tracks called 'Snooks (Progress Report)' by the artist 'Elbow' in the iTunes library. MY wife has 100gb of musicy goodness and we had 20gb of duplicates but had the usual issues with iTunes being useless at managing dupes. In the example above two groups of duplicates have been found. I have had a registered version of Song Sergeant 24 hours.
